More from Pre-Fall: Graphic Patterns

As I was looking through some of the recent pre-fall collections on Style.com this afternoon I realized that exceedingly vibrant colors and strong, graphic patterns seemed to be very prominent from several designers. It's a trend I've never indulged in, but I'm the sort of person who can be quite interested in things that aren't necessarily my style. It's like a language you don't understand but like the sound of, you know?

BCBG Max Azria
Max Azria offered the soft, romantic fabrics and young shapes that we've all come to expect from BCBG, but the bold colors and retro patterns offer a somewhat unexpected element. I rather like how it contrasts with the quiet softness of the dresses.

Michael Kors
Michael Kors went bold, bold, bold with his collection. That shocking blue mingles its way through black and white with unflinching confidence and the stripes of different sizes compete with the colors for just as much attention. Yet, there's some kind of strong minimalism to it that I think is rather cool.

Jason Wu
Jason Wu brought the graphic patterns in with a much tamer palette, the colors working so well together that they almost seem to become one. And in the looks that focus on one color Jason didn't skimp on the eye make-up for his models, contrasting the clothes with completely different shades.

Doo.Ri
On a slightly different note, Doo-Ri Chung worked neutral tones into graphic patterns with a more relaxed result. I love the harlequin pattern especially. It's bold and catches the eye, but it's familiar in a way, too, without being boring.

So my question for our lovely readers is this: would you follow a bold-color-graphic-print trend? And if so, how would you work it into your look?
