Friday Fame: Anne Hathaway

Friday Fame

"I've worked with people and I've known people that were really competitive but I've always said that I take an Elizabeth Bennett philosophy of life - I laugh. I love my job but if it means hurting someone I won't do it."

Anne Hathaway reminds me of Lucille Ball. Both ladies are obviously beautiful and totally silly! I love that. I feel like they could easily be the type of people that are caught up in their own beauty and how the world obsesses over them. Most people would tend to act stuck-up and feel like they have to be perfect but they're simply who God created them to be.

Besides Anne's joyous nature and sillyness, she wears some of the most gorgeous gowns by amazing designers. With a stylist like Rachel Zoe, you can't really go wrong as she gives her clients impeccable options.

"I look my best after an entire hair and makeup team has spent hours perfecting me. When do I feel my best? When I haven't looked in a mirror for days, and I'm doing things that make me happy."

"Over the last few years I've learned that the Next Big Thing is something a lot of people wish and want for you - but what you wish for yourself is really important too."

Anne is naturally classy so she looks elegant in just about anything she wears. I love this quote I found from her and I truly believe she stands by this as she look so happy and confident in all her photos...

"I gave up my struggle with perfection a long time ago. That is a concept I don't find very interesting anymore. Everyone just wants to look good in the photographs. I think that is where some of the pressure comes from. Be happy. Be yourself, the day is about a lot more. If designers want to dress me then I am at the larger end of the Hollywood scale so they have to be fine with that."

Anne's first major role was in a TV Series called Get Real in 1999. Her first movie was The Princess Diaries (2001) which was also made into a Sequel in 2004. I've seen Anne in both Princess Diaries movies as well as Nicholas Nickleby, Ella Enchanted, The Devil Wears Prada (one of my favorites), Becoming Jane, Bride Wars, and Alice in Wonderland.

She recently landed the role of Selina Kyle (Catwoman) in the third and final Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. Christpoher Nolan will begin filming in May. You can find a large list of all her upcoming projects on IMDB.

You'll also see Anne at the Oscars on February 27th co-hosting with James Franco! I'm sure everyone is anxious to see what she'll be wearing!

What do you like about Anne? What are some of your favorite "Anne Movies"?

I have always loved Anne Hathaway, ever since I saw her in the first Princess Diaries movie with big glasses and frizzy hair that resembled mine. :)I think what I love best about her is her nonchalance. :)

Look forward to hearing from you

Anne isn't one of my favorite actresses, but she is one of my favorite celebrities. I just love her personality. She was so adorable and original in The Princess Diaries. I'm excited to see her host the Oscars, especially after her little skit with Hugh Jackman last year. And of course she's gorgeous! I love her on the cover of Vanity Fair with James Franco, Ryan Reynolds, et all.

Lovely post, Jen!
