Five Great Places to Shop Online

Yesterday Anna Christie asked us via Facebook if we had any suggestions for online vintage-inspired shopping. While we've already talked about Ruche, Spotted Moth, Threadsense, Shabby Apple and the like I thought I'd try to shine the light on some new places you all may not have discovered yet. Some are more expensive than others, but shopping sales or auctions can always help to get a deal. Here are a few of my favorites.

What you'll find: vintage and designer vintage
Prices range from: buy-it-now prices are around $120 - $180.
Thrifted.net is an eBay shop specializing in thrift store finds, usually designer vintage from the 1970s through the 1990s. (I just love when things say "Vintage '90s". It makes me feel so old.) Most items are on auction so prices vary depending on how many bidders there are, of course.

What you'll find: indie; vintage-inspired
Prices range from: $10 - $100
Poetrie has a charming selection of indie designer pieces for the whimsical-minded. You'll also find some bigger names like BB Dakota and Betsey Johnson.

What you'll find: insider designer labels
Prices range from: around $60 - $700
Bird is a boutique based in New York, but their charming website lets you shop online! You'll find designer labels like Alexander Wang, Vena Cava, Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, Tucker, J Brand and Thakoon. The prices are pretty standard for the labels, but check the sale for the best deals!

Pret a Portobello
What you’ll find: vintage and vintage-inspired
Prices range: £5 - £70 (roughly $10 - $100)
A collective of vintage treasures from all sorts of locations in London that lets you shop by category, price, designer or color. I love the design of this site; it makes for a lovely shopping experience.

What you'll find: designer, vintage...just about everything.
Prices range from: cheap, expensive, it all depends on the seller!
I-Ella is a great online thrift store where you can shop for a cause as well as buy, sell, swap or borrow from other fashionistas. Prices range depending on the seller, but there are a lot of options and all sorts of treasures just wanting to be discovered.

I've heard of thrifted but never checked it out. I recently joined I-Ella and was delighted over the many lovely things. Most were pricey but it was still fun to look through!

Thanks for sharing these. I'll be visiting each one for sure :)
