This is the way I color block!

What I Wore:
Blouse: Forever 21
Cami: Target
Vintage Flare Jeans: American Eagle Outfitters
Pin-striped Scarf: American Eagle Outfitters
Wedges: Target
Cat Eye Sunglasses: American Eagle Outfitters
Ring: Forever 21
Olivia & Joy Bag: T.J. MAXX
Lips Fifth Avenue Fuchsia by Maybelline
Nails: I'm a Pool for Love by Nicole by OPI
I'm really excited that bright colors and color blocking are both here to stay throughout next spring (and quite possibly longer). I'll be talking a little more about how you can continue wearing bright colors through the Fall in a different post but for now here's my most recent experience with color blocking.
I’m wearing a few new things you haven’t seen including a chiffon blouse and rose ring from Forever 21 and a green pin-striped scarf from American Eagle Outfitters. Pairing the magenta and green created a very rich look that I wasn't exactly used to at first but it ended up growing on me and I had a lot of fun wearing it. I admit, I sort of made a bad move in choosing the burnt-orange wall color for these pictures. It's too clashy. You live and learn I guess! This is also the first top that I've attempted tucking in at the front of my pants. I'm officially a fan of this vintage look. What do you think?
Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Love the look! Great color-blocking too - the color of the blouse suits you well :)
I love the way you colorblock! I really like that you let the scarf and blouse stand out and you kept the bag and shoes neutral. Great styling

That blouse looks amazing on you... great color!

You remind me so much of your mom in the first picture! You both have such pretty smiles. Haha.
I totally love your take on colorblocking. I still haven't tried it, so it's nice to know I haven't missed my chance! I have the perfect tops for it, I just haven't been able to find a pair of bottoms with some color. (I really want a pair of red or cobalt trousers!)
I love color-blocking. And that rose ring is adorable. I might try to find something similar later this morning (I'm going on a shopping mission to the new Forever 21 store in Antwerp).
Also: those shades look great on you, Jen!
Your color block rocks! When color mixing is done right- it is perfection and the bright pink with the teal is perfection!
Ditto to what Bella said above - that is my favorite color-blocking color combination and you nailed it.
Also - I must own that ring! So pretty!
Cute! Love the color choices! The up-do and sunglasses combo is divine! Plus, that ring is amazing!
I just did color blocking, it was my theme for my makeover! haha You look great Jenmarie. Hope all is well.
