December Birchbox

When I received my very first Birchbox in November, I did a video about everything I received here. My December box arrived just a few days ago and I decided to blog about this one! If you subscribe with Birchbox (for just $10) each month you'll receive a selection of samples from both well-known brands and emerging gems. The subscription includes everything from skincare to makeup, as well as fun non-beauty extras.

Five little surprises.

This is the full size Eyeko liquid eyeliner (from the UK) in a deep green color. I was hesitant about the color at first as I always opt for black liners but I actually liked it and I'm more open to trying different colors now! This was also my first time trying a liquid liner, it wasn't too tricky!

I was so excited over this Aerie Shimmer Fragrance. It's a blend of bergamot, peony, and dash of vanilla and it smells so lovely!

Mmm! I can't wait to use this Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo. It smells really good and it's super healthy for your hair.

I was worried about the Mox Botanicals Lip Butter since I'm neither a fan of pomegranate or fig. The scent wasn't that strong though and it feels nice.

The little treats they include are just so cute. This Salted Chocolate Crunch by Chuao was delicious!

Are you familiar with any of these products/brands?

After receiving two Birchboxes I can say I've been satisfied and excited over many of the products I received. However, I am also very interested in trying Ipsy. It also costs $10 a month, they work with a lot of brands I like, you'll always receive full size or deluxe samples, plus everything comes in a different beauty bag each month. Decisons, decisions.

Oh, this looks like a lovely selection! I wanted to try Birchbox when it first came out, but then Glossybox came over from the UK and I've been undecided ever since. I'd also like to try ConsciousBox, which is all eco-friendly products. Too many of these things to choose from!

I don't typically like colored eyeliners either, I like the definition of black. Glad you enjoyed Eyeko!

I was a little disappointed with my (first) December Birchbox. One full size lip gloss in a color I was meh about, and then TINY samples of a few other things--one was a conditioner that while it looks lovely will probably only cover 1/4 of my curly mop. I suppose it's worth the price I paid for the lip gloss on its own, but still. I'm giving it another month and if I feel the same I'll switch to ipsy--it does look a lot better sample-wise!

Looks like you got some great goodies. I got the N. 4 shampoo, but everything else I got was different. I love getting the birchbox each month, isn't it such a fun treat?

I can't believe some of these sub boxes are only $10/month. I totally thought they were more. I'll have to check them out! And that candy bar looks amazing right now!! I need to get myself some holiday sweets haha.
