What I Wore

T-Shirt: c/o Sundried
Cover Up: Target (Similiar)
Sunnies: American Eagle
Necklace: Pac Sun
Sandals: Candie's for Kohl's (Similiar)

It's always been difficult for me to accept Summer. Except for when I was in school. What kid doesn't like Summer break? And while I feel I've been cheated of a proper Winter and so far Spring, I guess the best thing I can do is to try and embrace the warmer weather, because it's only going to get hotter (I cringed typing that!). And by embrace I mean stay cool and look cute. I wore a cover-up I picked up from Target years ago with a light weight 100% cotton Sundried t-shirt layered over. It's something easy to throw on to go to the beach or just to have a relaxing day out. Sundried focuses on being a sensible brand by providing organic and recycled products as well as sponsoring Surfers Against Sewage - an organization based in the UK to aid in helping keep the oceans clean. Sundried is designed for those who simply love the great outdoors. Founded on a beach in Peru, the brand is quickly building a global community and is now popular in the US and as far out as New Zealand. The brand offers t-shirts, hoodies and sunglasses on their website.

How do you like to keep cool during Summer?

Disclosure: This post was a collaboration with Sundried. All opinions are 100% my own.

  2. This is a pretty cute warm weather look! I'm not familiar with Sundries but I will definitely check them out since they have such a great philosophy and give back. I keep cool in the Summer by wearing light and loose clothing and using an umbrella on hot sunny days.

  3. Well down here in the south there is no escape from the humidity and heat. Luckily most places are air-conditioned but you can only be inside for so long!
Cotton is my go to fabric in the summertime. Polyester or any man made material is a no no down here. You will sweat like crazy! haha
I just try to stay indoors as much as I can and if I do go out- I wear appropriate clothing! :)

  6. If anyone understands feeling like there is too much summer it is me! And not the nice SoCal kind with limited humidity but the sweaty Singapore kind.

Anyways, your t-shirt is cute and I like the brand's focus!

  8. I've heard of Sundried but didn't know much about them, so thanks so much for the info. You look super cute with your hair like that, by the way.

And I like the heat (compared to the cold), but it can get quite hot, so it would be nice to just have spring last a bit longer.

  10. We have a bit of leftover winter if you want some. It's 42° right now. But it's supposed to be 70° tomorrow so fingers crossed. ;)

Sundried sounds like such a lovely brand, thanks for the introduction! You make keeping cool look so easy, I feel like as soon as it hits the summer highs here I just go into my closet every day and think, "What's the lightest piece of fabric I have in here?" Even accessories sometimes feel like too much. I think I'd be a pretty wimpy Californian!
