Product Empties

Product Empties | Style Through Her Eyes

This is my first time doing a post on empty products I have used up. The purpose of this is to discuss whether or not I liked the product and if I think it is worth purchasing or not! Let's dive in, shall we?

*The products listed below all reflect prices at Target unless otherwise stated.

L'OREAL The Super Slim 12hr Infallible Liquid Eyeliner - $7.19

I've purchased this eyeliner (in the shade Black) a handful of times already. It's the perfect black shade and it lasts all day! Transitioning from an eyeliner pencil to a liquid tip can be quite challenging at first but I will say it's so much easier creating that sharp tip at the outer corner of your eye for a great cat eye look. The application is smooth but you definitely have to have a much steadier hand when using a liquid liner. There are still times I mess up and have to work around my mistake or start all over (though that's only happened twice). Overall I really like this eyeliner and would definitely recommend it!

L'OREAL Voluminous Million Lashes - 6.99

This was a purchase I made during a BOGO promotion at Ulta. It caught my eye and I decided to try it. I'm no fan of plastic bristles, so that was an immediate turn off for me. I also didn't feel that it lengthened my lashes as much as other mascaras and it didn't make them look full either. Whenever I used this mascara I would combine it with another to get the full effect. I am not repurchasing it and wouldn't recommend it.

L'OREAL Magic Perfecting Base Face Primer - 8.59

Besides the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, which is amazing, this is the only other face primer I have tried. It's not the most amazing product ever but it definitely does work and you can totally see a difference with it on. It helps to diminish pores and lessen the appearance of fine lines. It's a small pot but don't let that fool you, a little product goes a long way! Typically I will work it into my t-zone area and my cheeks for a more flawless appearance. I would recommend it if you're on a budget but still want a good base for your makeup.

Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily Skin Foundation - 12.99 (Ulta)

This has been my go-to foundation (I wear the shade Ivory) for several months now. The coverage is wonderful and buildable. It lasts all day and definitely helps to control oily skin. I would absolutely recommend it if you're interested in trying a new foundation. I've received many compliments while wearing this foundation and a lot of people mistake it for a high end brand. Note: There is also a Normal/Dry skin option available.

Maybelline Fit Me Bronzer - 3.89

Another go-to product of mine is this bronzer in the shade Medium/Bronze. It's a great basic matte bronzer that isn't too light or dark. It lasted for the longest time and I just recently purchased a second one. Unless you want something with a bit of shimmer, this is a great option!

As always, thanks for reading lovelies!

I bought that mascara during 50% off promo at RiteAid but I haven't used it yet. I'm not too enthused about it now after reading about your experience.

The only one of these that I've personally used is the mascara, but it got lost among all my other mascaras that I like more, ha ha

I think perhaps I've tried that L'oreal eyeliner before! Does it have a felt tip?

I haven't tried any of those. I tend to use Flower Beauty from Drew Barrymore. I'm slightly addicted to them. Excellent post!

I've been wondering forever about how well the Magic Perfecting Base Primer works! Thanks for your honesty! Also, I've been in search of a new bronzer and it seems like I'll have to get Maybelline one! Also for less than $4 that's way good!
