What I Wore

Top Shop Blouse: Nordstrom Rack
Knit Jeggings: American Eagle
Franco Sarto Heels: Nordstrom Rack
Wooden Watch: JORD
Secret of Love Hinged Bangle: Brighton
Twinkle Necklace: Brighton

I haven't worn a watch in years but have occasionally browsed some that caught my eye while out shopping which has recently led me to think, "Maybe I should get one...". So when JORD (pronounced Y-O-O-D) contacted me asking me to style one of their wooden watches for them I was very eager and excited for the challenge. JORD is a fairly new company that was started by three brothers who were born and raised in St. Louis. While they do have a few jewelers who carry their watches in their hometown, they are best known as an online company. Like their watches, which are primarily made from 100% natural wood, their website is simple but modern and easy to use. You'll find a great selection of both men's and women's watches with various styles along with descriptive information about each watch to assist you in making the perfect purchase.

I chose the Elly watch in the maple finish. I felt the lighter wood and delicate features would be the perfect fit for my tiny wrist. Upon receiving my watch, I was pleasantly surprised by the way it was packaged. I think the way a product arrives at my door step speaks numbers about a company and I truly appreciate the special wood case it came with as well. The wood is firm but soft and comfortable to wear. It's also splash proof, which is a comforting feature, though obviously it should never be submerged in water. I also really like the nifty stainless steel clasp feature. You'll notice from my pictures that when the double sided clasp is closed it is completely hidden by the wooden band. I accessorized my watch with silver accessories from Brighton to compliment the features but not take away from the beauty of it. Some people might expect a wooden watch to only go with simple Spring and Summer outfits like shorts and dresses, but as you can see, it also looks fantastic worn with something a little more dressed up as well. I love my watch and am excited to continue to wear it throughout all seasons!

That looks like a interesting watch. I stop wearing them after I broke so many by hitting them on a desk. I never would thought of buying a wooden watching. How does it feel on the wrist?

This watch style is really cute and so is the way you styled it. I'm working with JORD as well and I was amazed by how lightweight and well made their watches are.

I've been neglecting my watches lately, haha. I didnt wear them for the longest time and once I started blogging I wore them again. But now I've just been lazy.
This one is so cool, I love that it's wooden! :D

Oh that is a lovely watch and so nice that it is in wood. Different but still chic looking. And I also like the way you styled it too.

I was definitely not pronouncing this correctly, lol. I like wood watches and I think you did well with the maple finish. Also loving your shoes!

I used to wear a watch everyday, but then I stopped kind of suddenly (I think it was around when I got a cell phone)! By the way, the top you're wearing in these photos is such a lovely color!
