One of the reasons I love Beauty Box 5 so much is because so often I receive multiple full sized products! Honestly, how many subscription boxes do you know of that send out more than one full sized beauty item? This month, I received three and have used them all to create this Spring/Summer look with edgy eyes. You're intrigued, I know.
Two months ago I was introduced to Glamour Dolls, a company focused on cruelty-free make-up. This month I received their brand new Mermaid Lashes Splash Proof Mascara in the color Black (this product is not yet available to order but keep an eye out!). The first thing that stood out to me about this mascara was the real bristles on the brush! For me, this is one of the most important features of a mascara as I don't believe fake brushes work that well. While not my favorite mascara, it did last all day, and it was great for use on my bottom lashes as well!
I also received the You're So Fine Waterproof Liquid Liner in the color Gliteratti by Elizabeth Mott. I've never used an eyeliner with a micro-tipped brush before. I'm sure it was because I just wasn't used to it but I found it difficult to use compared to my felt tip eyeliners I use on a daily basis. However, I was able to tackle the double eyeliner look, a recently popular beauty trend. The end results weren't so bad and I ended up rocking it the rest of the day! TIP: I blended Creep, a black Urban Decay eyeshadow, underneath the middle to the outer corner of my eye to give the eyeliner a softer look.
To keep the focus on my eyes, I opted for a lighter lip by Appeal Cosmetics. I'm wearing the shade Crush from their Lipstick line. It's a light coral color that is quite possibly one of the creamiest lipsticks I've ever tried!
For just $12 a month, you can get full sized products and deluxe samples as well! Follow this link if you're interested!
Disclosure: The products mentioned above were sent to me by Beauty Box 5. All opinions are 100% my own.
