The last time I showed you the contents of my makeup bag was three years ago, so I thought it was about time I did an updated one! I've been using this Star Wars makeup bag since the beginning of the year after my friend gifted it to me for my Birthday. I love the chubified characters and the bright colors. This bag and other items with the same print can be found on the Disney Store Japan website in case you're interested.
I do my best to make sure my bag is never full to the top with items, otherwise it makes it difficult to find what I need and it makes my handbag heavier. I find one of the best ways to do this is to put away lipsticks or any other items you used for the day and won't be wearing the next.
Let's dig in, shall we?
The Maybelline Fit Me Powder is one of my favorites because it's matte, works great for normal to oily skin, and lasts all day. The powder compartment lifts up to reveal a mirror and applicator underneath which is one of the most brilliant powder compacts designs in my opinion. I use shade 100 - Translucent because I'm as fair as can be. The Fit Me Concealer provides great coverage though I do favor NYX's HD Concealer over this one. I am currently using shade 15 - Fair. The last Maybelline product in my bag is the most recent lipstick I wore, shade 160 - Fifth Ave. Fuchsia which seems to be no longer available to purchase.
As for the rest of my lip products...
I tend to keep a lip gloss in my bag at all times just in case I feel like changing things up. This one by Stila is a Silk Shimmer Luxe Gloss called Kitten. It's a dreamy shade! If you want to keep your lips smooth I'd recommend the EOS Organic Lip Balms (this pink one is called Strawberry Sorbet but my absolute favorite is Sweet Mint) and the 100% natural Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. Lastly, I have Rimmel's Moisture Renew Transparent Lip Liner handy for whenever I'm wearing a bright or bold lip. I'd highly recommend it!
The Anastasia Brow Definer is one of my makeup grails, so this little guy goes wherever I go. I use shade Medium Brown. You can read more of my thoughts on this product here. The Essence Waterproof Eyeliner Pen is another favorite product of mine. It's just a few dollars and lasts all day! I also wrote about this product which you can read here.
On to the miscellaneous items...
Whenever I get sample products like hairspray, I find that I'll actually use them the most if they're in my bag. This one by Pantene Pro-V isn't my preferred option but it does a good touch-up job and has an amazing scent! Tweezers are always important because you just never know what you might find in natural light versus artificial light. I also never go anywhere without Oil Blotting Paper. I'd rather soak it up than pack more product on my face to conceal it. You know what I'm saying? Of course bobby pins can often be life savers as well as a hair tie. And since I'm prone to accidents, a Star Wars Band Aid is quite necessary.
Obviously I carry personal products with me but didn't feel like photographing those. And yes, I do have hand lotion but I keep that in a separate pocket in my handbag. So now that you've seen what's in my makeup bag, what's in yours? Do you carry around any items that I don't?
